The Instructors
Dr. Paul Banks and Dr. Andrew Howard are general dentists with over 45 years of combined dental experience. They have lectured on topics such as cosmetic dentistry, digital photography, connections between dental and overall health, Botox and dermal fillers and practice management to the public as well as to fellow dentists.
They enjoy training and mentoring dental assistants with whom they have worked over the years, including those with little or no dental experience. Their goal for this course is to educate the individual in dental assisting and to create confidence to begin an enjoyable and profitable career in dental assisting.

Sarah Siroka has over 35 years of experience as a dental assistant and 25 years as a clinical instructor. She has taught review classes for the dental assisting board exam, authored several articles on dental assisting and presented many continuing education lectures. Sarah is also a past president of the NJ Dental Assistant Association, past national vice president of the ADAA, and a district trustee for the ADAA.

About the Course
This course provides an introduction to dental assisting for the individual who has little or no dental experience. Topics include: dental anatomy and terminology, taking vital signs, review of medical histories, identification, use, care and maintenance of equipment, materials and instruments; tray preparation, sterilization procedures and infection control, the seating and dismissal of patients; and four-handed dentistry.
The course is taught in an actual dental office which allows students access to material, instruments, and procedures which are used every day.

from 5:30-8:30pm
